Mixed Berry Chia Seed Jam

Ingredients
  • 3 cups mixed berries
  • 3½ tbsp agave, maple syrup or honey
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • ½ tsp vanilla
Directions
  1. In a small saucepan combine the berries and agave and stir occasionally over medium-high heat until it begins to boil.
  2. Once boiling, turn down the heat to let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Using a potato masher, mash the berries.
  3. Mix in the chia seeds and let it simmer for another 2 minutes, then remove it from the heat. Stir in the vanilla and let it stand for about an hour. This will allow the chia seeds to soak in the liquids.
  4. Pour your jam into a jar or a container with a lid and store it in your fridge.
