I just saw this post Kristin! I totally agree screen time should be limited! I love all your ideas and I've taken note! I'm sure you have a site you love, I really like this storyline online site. http://www.storylineonline.net/ I also had a ton of apps on my ipads in my classroom but you can download them for phones as well. I like apps because they're obviously a lot more interactive and I feel like if you find the right ones, they get kids to really think!! I think app time needs to definitely be limited too, but still thought I'd share a few my kids loved and I think a lot of them S would really love and she would have doing! Leafsnap is awesome because you lay leaves you find on a white sheet of paper, take a picture of it and it'll tell you what kind of leaf it is! My kids loved hunting down new leaves on the playground and would come inside with handfuls after recess :) Peterson Birds is another fun nature app. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/peterson-birds-north-america/id407825684?mt=8 Star Walk- https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/star-walk-hd-5-stars-astronomy/id363486802?mt=8 Brain Pop movies- https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/brainpop-featured-movie/id364894352?mt=8 Geoboard-https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/geoboard-by-math-learning/id519896952?mt=8 Life Science Education-https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/language-central-for-science/id416215863?mt=8 Little Writer-https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/little-writer-tracing-app/id515890480?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4 I know I have more but these are the ones I can kind of think of off the top of my head! Thanks for sharing all your ideas!
