We shop for food every 2 weeks. We have a small enough family now that we have the luxury of doing  this.   They say that as a national average you should expect to spend about 100 per month per person. Interperet that how you will. We have decided on a monthly food budget of $280 for our family of 2 adults and 1 baby. This includes diapers, wipes, toiletries, cleaners…etc. Within this budget I feel that I have enough money to spend on meals that I want to make and also on a few discretionary items like random fruits or veggies…etc.

I have taken pictures and documented what we bought on our last 3 shopping trips so you can see what we buy and what our 2 weeks supply of food looks like. These pictures only have the food items and I left out the diapers, toiletries..etc.

We regularly shop at Costco, Sprouts and Walmart.
